I. Here Before

Tikesh and Aanya were born on Friday the 13th of October in 2000, to surgeon Idha and professor Antony Wiśniewski. They were raised upper middle class in Seattle without much influence from other kids - as a result the twins were each other's only friend, and they acted very mature from an early age. Aanya liked drawing and illustrated many of Tikesh's stories.

Also from an early age, every summer the family visited a small private island given as a gift by wealthy grandparents. This was a sanctuary for the twins, who enjoyed exploring the caves and beaches, finding a place to talk freely and have secret meetings once a year.

When the twins were ten, their mother fell ill and died. Both the twins and their father took it very hard. Their father grew very closed off from his children and began to deteriorate. The twins grew antisocial to the point where they refused to talk to anyone besides each other.

Aanya mirrored Tikesh's cool exterior to an extent, but rather than edgy she became quiet and mysterious. She was significantly less aggressive and more outwardly friendly to others when she had to be. She stopped drawing, but became interested in fashion and internet circles alongside a turbulent experience with gender identity. By the age of 12 she had become a master at othering herself in order to talk behind other people's backs and start rumors.

II. Memory Dredge (2014-2018)

In 2014, a year of teacher complaints against the twins has stacked up, and as a result their father sends them to a summer camp in hopes that they would socialize. They are tired, emo, and both very unwilling to go. Aanya is especially pissed because she was supposed to go to a certain convention that July...

At the summer camp they also encounter the younger Casey Lleision. She is sheltered and evidently very curious about them. Tikesh wants her gone, but Aanya takes her under her wing...

A few days later, three campers are reported missing, and are never seen again.

Aanya died in 2018.

III. Karmic Dream Sequence (2018-2021)

Where I am it always smells like old carpet, and I hear running water faintly from another room.
My hair grows longer every day, and when I close my eyes I see faint firing trails of red and blue.
The air is heavy. I feel her watching me. I only eat blood oranges. What am I?
