I. Here Before

Tikesh and Aanya were born on Friday the 13th of October in 2000, to surgeon Idha and professor Antony Wiśniewski. They were raised upper middle class in Seattle without much influence from other kids - as a result the twins were each other's only friend, and they acted very mature from an early age. For several years Tikesh took an interest in writing stories.

Also from an early age, every summer the family visited a small private island given as a gift by wealthy grandparents. This was a sanctuary for the twins, who enjoyed exploring the caves and beaches, finding a place to talk freely and have secret meetings once a year.

When the twins were ten, their mother fell ill and died. Both the twins and their father took it very hard. Their father grew very closed off from his children and began to deteriorate. The twins grew antisocial to the point where they refused to talk to anyone besides each other.

Contrary to his sister Tikesh developed a cool and mysterious external shell, and while being significantly non-confrontational also became very hostile to others who he felt threatened him. He became one one to lurk in the shadows or quietly listen while protecting his perceived self. A lot of his personality was gathered from seeing cool badass anime guys - this is something that decreases over the years but never quite goes away.

II. Memory Dredge (2014-2018)

In 2014, a year of teacher complaints against the twins has stacked up, and as a result their father sends them to a summer camp in hopes that they would socialize. They are tired, emo, and both very unwilling to go, but Tikesh sees it as a good chance to hide from everyone and play Pokemon Y.

At the summer camp they also encounter the younger Casey Lleision. She is sheltered and evidently very curious about them. Tikesh wants her gone, but Aanya takes her under her wing...

A few days later, three campers are reported missing, and are never seen again.
